**Friday Evening: 7-9:30pm
The Real Meaning of Meditation  $35


The Yoga Sutras define meditation as a highly refined state of effortless unbroken concentration, which first requires proficiency in concentration, control of the senses as well as deep relaxation. According to the ancient text the ability to both witness the self and its thoughts as well as realize that we are something greater than them serve as meditation's power. During this Immersion Amy will take time to outline not only the technical components that outline a successful meditation practice, but will also take you through a series of practices so that you can begin to experience the witness mind in a deeper state of relaxation. Home practice handouts and meditation will accompany the workshop.


**Saturday Morning: 10:30am -1:30pm
The Essentials: 10 Postures to Better Health $45


Ever wonder what poses we should remember to practice? Join Amy as she leads a universal practice that all bodies will benefit from. Uncover the specifics of which forward-bend, which back-bend, inversion, twist, balance, arm-strengthening, hamstring opening and standing postures are best to practice regularly and safely. We'll spend the afternoon realigning, and working the technical aspects of these essential basic asana. Home practice handouts will accompany the workshop.

**Saturday Afternoon: 2:00pm-4:30pm
The Mirror & Its Reflection $35

Yoga teaches that the goal to success in any endeavor is to "Know Thy Self"-a statement that could begin most any yoga workshop. In this unique workshop we will explore how partner work supports how one can "Heal Thy Self". Self-healing which is a component of yoga often needs reinforcement from the outside. Be it a mentor, a guide, or written word, sometimes the availability and presence of another human being can allow for deeper understanding and Self-realization-the key to healing. Techniques include: Journaling Shared/Spoken Word Storytelling The Art of Listening Partner Asana ***Please bring a favorite or recent book with one of your favorite poems, a short story, or passage that is meaningful to you. 



**Sunday Early: 11:30am-2:00pm  
Passive Poses & Active Pranayama:
Accessing the Prana Vayus with a Yin Approach  $40

Unique to this workshop is the coupling of posture and pranayama. It's true that we are always working with the breath in all yoga practices, but in this workshop specifically chosen breathing techniques will be matched with certain postures that will allow for more effective breathing; resulting in greater ability to go deeper and release further. Simultaneously we will awaken the Vayus (the powers of life-force) allowing for the natural process of homeostasis to prevail. Our passive postures will be fully supported with props galore, to create ease and restoration.



**Sunday Afternoon: 2:30-4:30pm
Prana & Bandha: The Internal Yoga Practices  $35

We often tend to look to the postures and the expression of them to measure our strength and vitality. Only when we harness the raw potential of our energy do we find the secret power and capability of our life-force. Without intention and direction of our prana we are neglecting our true Spiritual abilities for healing and total health. In this workshop we will explore the subtle (internal) systems of yoga including the Prana Vayus (the 5 Powers of Life-Force) and the Bandhas (the 4 Energy Locks) both in theory and in practice. Through this work begin to experience the quality of your energy increase, your mind and senses sharpen and your overall vital health increase. Come learn how to stretch and strengthen your "inner body" in this practice!

Teachers: Refine Your Eye! During these two hours, we will explore the essential principals that govern proper alignment through a close look at posture basics, common mis-alignments, and the postural habits that each of us tend toward. We will look to refine the relationship between our muscular and structural bodies in our own asana as well as explore modifications and hands on adjustments for your assists in class as you teach.
