Applied Yoga 200-Hour Teaching Training @ Inner Balance Studio
Community Supported Sadhana (Spiritual Practice),
Sadhana Supported Knowledge.
The school of Applied Yoga at Inner Balance Studio offers a practical approach to integrating an ancient practice into modern day life. Rooted in the dualistic approach to yoga through practices of body and mind, Raja-Hatha Yoga can inform, inspire and lead the practitioner toward self-understanding, acceptance and mastery. By means of the eight-limbed practice, we start from where we are, meet our strengths and limitations, and work toward growth and full potential. The possibilities are endless.
Whether you are looking to teach this fulfilling practice yourself, or deepen your own experience, this training program will provide opportunity through community supported spiritual practice. Through study of the self and by connecting with others we can begin to see what is limiting our experience.
This intense training takes place over the course of five months; mandates include weekend on-site intensives, as well as written homework, reading, practicum, daily journaling and meditation. We will explore principles of asana, alignment and sequencing, anatomy and physiology, restorative aspects of the practice, theory and practice of pranayama, meditation and chant, study of The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and The Baghavad Gita, the subtle bodies, teaching methodology, introduction to ayurveda, yoga lifestyle and ethics, and the business of yoga.
Upon completion students will have the knowledge and confidence to teach Yoga, and will earn Yoga Alliance recognized certification. Trainees will be equipped to apply and integrate ancient practice in group settings as well as uniquely for the individual, tending to nature, lifestyle, and current state.
